SMS Receiver Using Prepaid CARD 20040628

SMS (Short Message Service) is such a lovely system of communications in cellphones today. And it is so important to send short and quick messages. At the moment, it is a cellphone/URL to cellphone method. Someone should, if no one has done it yet, design an SMS Receiver using the standard PrePaid SIM Card.

The SMS-Rc is not a cellphone. It is just a TEXT Message receiver. It should have the usual RINGTONE Choices and so forth, but cannot take a LIVE call. It can ANNOUNCE Text-to-Voice if it is cost-effective. The DISPLAY, usually an LCD Panel, can be large enough for DESK use (or a large WALL version.)

This is because, in SINGAPORE, SMS receiving is FREE. Thus, we simply need to design this cellphone Receiver unit to collect SMSes, to communicate ONE-WAY with the recipient/s.

It would behave like a PAGER but we do not have to pay subscription in this case. The SMS-Rc could be much cheaper than a regular cellphone, but with that LARGE LCD.
